Grounded in architectural design, Hetra operates as a dynamic studio collective—partnering with its network of trusted collaborators to deliver integrated services across interiors, landscape, branding, operational support and more.
Hetra is led by Marissa Feddema, who brings over fifteen years of experience leading project teams through sustainability planning, design, permitting, and construction. She founded Hetra in 2024 to focus exclusively on a climate-aligned mission while also exploring new regenerative, collective studio models.
Originally from St. Cloud, Minnesota, Marissa designs with a special connection to nature and climate. From rammed earth buildings in Nepal and Portugal to private coastal homes along New York’s Long Island, she sees the interconnected ecosystems of a project site as an opportunity to work with the earth—leaning on the wisdom of craft and material to align the creative potential of a landscape with its deeper ecological spirit.
Marissa has been featured for her design work in Dwell, Madame Architect, Hospitality Design, Interior Design Magazine, and more. Holding degrees in Architecture and Sustainability from the University of Minnesota, she is a LEED BD+C Accredited Professional and Registered Architect in New York.
